Volunteer Opportunities

We are a Volunteer Organization and rely on our volunteers to coach and support the everyday running of the Langley Baseball Organization. As such, we have a required volunteer program in our Spring season that all families who register are required to take part in, to support our organization and in turn our players who are participating, to allow them to have a well organized and enjoyable experience to enhance their love of the game and to progress their skills.  Volunteer support allows us to provide league play as well as tournaments and promotes the community aspect of our league.  

The current volunteer program requirements for Spring/Summer 2025 is as follows:

Each family will provide Langley Baseball with a $200.00 Volunteer commitment deposit. (Which will be held by the credit card on file in your registration).   If your volunteer commitment is completed, by Aug 15th 2025, your credit card will not be charged.  Each family registration will be required to complete one task (each task will take between 2-3 hours)  as well as to participate and complete their assigned team tasks, such as scorekeeping, field prep, concession helpers, etc. These tasks can range from helping with opening ceremonies, field maintenance, helping with tournaments, extra concession shifts, coaching, team parents and more.  We will also offer an up-front opt out option this year. If you would like to opt out of the volunteer program, there will be a $150.00 fee added at the time of registration.
