Langley Yellow Jackets
Langley Baseball is excited to introduce the Langley Yellow Jackets, Langley’s first all‑girls baseball program. This new initiative is designed to create more opportunities for girls who love baseball and want to develop their skills in a supportive, athlete‑centred environment.
Practice Details
- When: Twice‑monthly Friday night “Girls Night” practices
- Start Date: April 10, 2026 (weather permitting)
- Time: Approximately 2.5 hours
- Location: City Park, Langley
These sessions are intended to be high‑energy, skill‑focused, and fun, while also building community among girls in baseball.
Who Can Participate?
The Yellow Jackets program is open to all girls across the Lower Mainland, not just Langley residents. Players of all skill levels are welcome, regardless of home association.
Coaching & Player Development
We have a strong group of coaches in place and continue to welcome additional coaching and volunteer support.
Practices will focus on overall baseball development, including:
- Throwing and fielding fundamentals
- Pitching development
- Hitting mechanics and confidence at the plate
Summer Team Opportunities
Our goal is to field:
- A 9U team
- A 12U team
These teams would participate in the Baseball BC Summer Girls Program, running from late June through early August. More information: https://baseball.bc.ca/girlsleague
If necessary, tryouts may be held later in the spring to help form summer teams.
Potential Travel Opportunity
If there is sufficient interest, athlete commitment, and family support, we hope to send a team to the BFA Nationals in Rockford, Illinois: https://baseballforall.com/nationals/
This would be an optional opportunity. If a team is formed, fundraising efforts would be organized to help offset travel costs.
Cost
At this stage, the only anticipated cost is $20 per player, which helps cover basic administrative expenses for the association. The program is entirely volunteer‑run.
There may be additional costs in the future for items such as hats or t‑shirts. No additional fees are anticipated unless summer teams and/or travel opportunities are confirmed.

Our Goal
The Langley Yellow Jackets aim to:
- Grow the girls’ baseball community
- Build confidence and skill development
- Provide a positive, inclusive space for girls who want to play baseball
- Create long‑term opportunities in the sport
We’re excited to get started and look forward to seeing players on the field this spring. As the program grows, we anticipate forming multiple teams within each age group. With the support of Langley Baseball, our goal is to strengthen the girls’ baseball pathway and provide additional development opportunities for players across the Lower Mainland.
