Langley Baseball – 2026 Opening Ceremonies
Langley Baseball – 2026 Opening Ceremonies ⚾️
On April 4th, we were lucky to kick off our spring season with a beautiful day full of community spirit and celebration.
A heartfelt thank you to Natalie Murphy for her incredible rendition of our national anthem—it truly set the tone for a special day.
We were honoured to be joined by Langley council members Rosemary Wallace, Paul Albrecht, Delaney Mack, and Leith White for this memorable occasion.
Our president, James Kennedy, shared welcoming remarks and gratitude for everyone who worked hard behind the scenes to bring the season together. It takes a lot of people and their continuous efforts to make an event this size run smoothly. He also recognized longtime board member and coach Aaron McRae, who is stepping away after years of dedication to Langley Baseball—thank you, Aaron, for everything you’ve given to our community.
To officially open the season, we welcomed Jared and Braxton Barbour, son and grandson of the late Brent Barbour, to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Brent’s legacy continues to be felt throughout our organization, and Barbour Diamond stands as a lasting tribute to his passion and love of the game. Braxton threw the first pitch to declare the season officially open!
